Verify the package’s complete needle designation and the point described by the selected listing. A size range alone does not establish compatibility. Consult the machine’s manual before opening a pack, and keep unused needles separated by size. Once loose needles become mixed together, later troubleshooting and reordering become unnecessarily uncertain. A convenient assortment should make comparisons more deliberate, not encourage random swapping.

Use controlled samples

Choose an appropriate starting size based on the intended thread and supported setup. Test the full seam construction on expendable material and record what was used. Inspect holes, stitch balance and feeding rather than choosing the largest needle simply because it penetrates.
